This is the technical backbone of linuxforher — the infrastructure and the tools. It started with a simple lyric generator deployed to a MicroK8s cluster but became a fully themed homelab that blends learning with storytelling.

THE HOMELAB

The environment runs inside Proxmox on a Lenovo ThinkCentre, with several dedicated VMs:

• Ubuntu: running MicroK8s, home to my prettyhatemachine cluster
• Docker VM: Containerized apps with frontend/backend and database
• Jenkins VM: CI/CD automation triggered from GitHub
• Test VM: General sandbox for break/fix practice

TOOLS USED

• Ubuntu 24.04 Linux OS
• Docker for containerization
• Jenkins for pipelines
• GitHub for source control and automation
• Cloudflare for DNS and domain security
